An enjoyable festive morning's football.

Well played to the Attackers for the win. It was neck and neck overall with the Defenders until about half way through the final match, when Ravi broke the deadlock. Then an unlikely source in Andy, doubled the lead. His 169 match goal drought broken for one week only though, until these matches are expunged from the record before next week. The attackers ended up convincing winners in that match, Manuel with a brace, and they win bragging rights for a year until the next Christmas Special.

Ironically, the Attackers did it without conceding a single goal. Furthermore, as Vinny noted, no team conceded more than the Defenders. Also noteworthy was Said doing a centre backs job like a seasoned defender.

The Yellow Midfielders stole Silver from the Defenders at the end with a win over the White Midfielders. Their second match against the Defenders a particularly tight affair, coming from behind twice to end in a draw. But it did include a goal scored off Mark L's Christmas Hat.

The Defenders started well, and were in with a chance until the very last 20 minutes, when their hearts were broken by the Attackers. Big Sam yet again looking for a new job.

The White Midfielders unlucky to be a player down, only lost the first two by a single goal before the Yellow Midfielders sealed up their second place against them.
